‘TROY’

 

The Pixis is a vessel used by the ancient Greeks to store items of value i.e. jewellery, coins etc.
The main scene in the center of the vessel depicts the Battle of Troy with the death of Achilles and fighting over his body, to protect his armour, is Ajax against a Trojan.
The rest of the vessel is decorated with traditional geometric patterns showing the complexity of this era.
