‘The Fate of Achilles ’

 

The kylix is a vessel used by the ancient Greeks to drink their wine.
The main scene inside depicts the death of Achilles and fighting over his body to protect his armour is Ajax against a Trojan.
The rest of the vessel is decorated with traditional geometric patterns.
