‘DIONYSOS- ancient god of wine’

The Kylix is a vessel the ancient Greeks used to drink their wine.
A scaled down reproduction of the antiquity housed in Munich-Staatliche Antikensammlungen and is attributed to Exekias.
Depicted inside is Dionysos seated in his boat after he was taken captive by pirates. He turned the mast into a vine, which frightened the pirates and they fell in the ocean. Dionysos then turned them into Dolphins.
On the outside of the Kylix cup are the protective eyes of Exekias and around the handles, the struggle for the dead bodies of Achilles & Patroklos, during the Trojan war.
