‘THE OLIVE HARVEST’
The amphora was a vessel used by the ancient Greeks to store grains and liquids.
A scaled down reproduction of the antiquity attributed to the Antimenes painter and is housed in the British Museum.
Depicted on side A is the harvesting of olives and on side B is Herakles and Hermes meeting up with
Chiron the Centaur.
Chiron was a very wise and tamed Centaur. the Gods put him in charge of teaching their children (Heroes) education, fighting and everything else required as they were growing up.
Dimensions: (13x13x25cm) The height includes the lid.
